Steve,

I am glad that you found this entry helpful. It’s so easy to get busy and overlook the quality of our reading. I wish you the best as you challenge yourself to continue to read deeply and critically, examining the author's assumptions, arguments, and language and how they fit into your broader field of study. Would you mind sharing your plan to help others read for quality? I look forward to your insight.

This artical reminds me of the long drives with my uncle on the way to my field class during my masters degree. He always encoureged me to concentrate on learning and not the grade, as well as the importance of the quality in my research. Did I mention he is a professor at Lincoln university and University of Delaware? Reading these words coming from your writings gives me great comfort because there were many days that I felt that I would not have made it (Masters degree) without his wise words of inlightenment. Once again thank you...
