Ryan Naraine of ZDnet reports on a new exploit that follows a long held pratice by the hacking community of exploiting large public events or incidents. In this case there is a spoof email going around that leverages the general fear going around of the H1N1 virus. This email redirects users to a false CDC website where it downloads malware onto the unsuspecting host.
Is this growing use of spoof emails becoming so extreme that it literally eliminates the ability of legitimate organizations to do any kind of business with their customers?
