Information assurance experts believe that another attack will be started with a cyber attack, in the hopes of knocking down a nation’s critical infrastructure or cause panic among the population. It seems that a new computer worm, “Stuxnet” is showing up and may be affecting physical infrastructures, such as power plants. The interesting thing is that it looks for specific code created by a manufacturer of industrial equipment and is targeted to a specific entity.
Hopefully, we can gain knowledge of this code to prevent future attacks.

Government sponsored cyber attacks! I think we just entered a new era of warfare. We may be entering a similar period after nuclear bombs were used to end WWII, a cyber arms race. The problem with cyber warfare is that any serious hacker, hacktavist, government, or other cyber terrorist already have the equipment and knowledge to develop and use this technology.
