What’s frustrating about this is there appears to be no culpability of the companies the hire / retain Epsilon. Moreover, since this data of ours was shared for purely marketing purposes and serves no value to the end consumer – the sting hurts that much more.
Really scary would be if these are the same folks generating the bogus certificates or hacking a CA – lots of legit emails from legit businesses with compromised certificates would certainly spell disaster.
