Dr. Steven Brown, CISSP
A published author in both technology and business, Dr. Brown is an experienced professional with more than 25 years of technical and business experience. His work—both domestically and internationally—has been in telecommunications, data networks, strategic communications, electronic commerce, business management, and security. He has authored several publications and presented at conferences around the world.
Dr. Brown is currently serving as a Capella core faculty member teaching graduate courses in information assurance and security. He is responsible for ensuring that the information security and networking curricula meet the demands of today’s marketplace and adhere to rigorous academic standards.
Dr. Brown consults with organizations to help them identify what their customers value. He has also worked with several state and federal agencies.

Dr. Tsun Chow
Dr. Chow is the faculty chair of Information Technology Management for the Project Management, IT Management and Information Security specializations in the School of School of Business and Technology at Capella University. Prior to joining Capella, he was the Information Technology director for a Fortune 100 company. He has more than 20 years of IT management experience, spending the last seven years as an IT executive with a background in information security, data center management, business transformation via technology applications, and IT outsourcing.
As a faculty chair, Dr. Chow is responsible for the graduate curriculum in Project Management, Information Security, and Information Technology Management for the master’s programs and the PhD degree program with a specialization in Information Technology Management. He is also responsible for the recruitment and coaching of faculty in these specializations.
In addition to his role as a faculty chair, Dr. Chow is engaged in research and mentoring in the areas of outsourcing, IT management, and information security. He has published many papers and made presentations at professional conferences. He also authored a book on software quality assurance. He received the Data Center Manager of the Year award from the Association for Computer Operations Management and the Outstanding Contribution award from IEEE Computer Society.

Dr. Keith A. Morneau
Dr. Morneau chairs the bachelor’s program in IT for Capella’s School of Undergraduate Studies. He specializes in network and security technology. Prior to joining Capella, as an assistant professor at Northern Virginia Community College, he launched one of the first network security programs at the community college level. This program became a regional and national model. He was also director of information security programs at NVCC, and has presented on information security education issues.

Dr. Morneau focused his doctoral studies on the use of instructional technology to teach information assurance and security. He wants to change how people learn to be IT professionals and how they progress in their profession. His work utilizes the latest research in technology such as skill standards, communities of practice, practice fields (problem-based learning and story-centered curriculum), assessments, and educational technology.

Mary Brown
Mary Brown is an experienced professional with more than 30 years of experience in information technology and 10 years specifically in the field of information security. She has extensive experience in the health care industry and contributed to a HIPAA reference guide as well as authoring several articles on the topic of RFID security and privacy. She is a founding member of the Healthcare Security Professional Interest Group and is involved in a number of local IT and information security professional organizations. She has presented on a range of information security related topics and was selected as the Minnesota ISSA Security Professional of the Year for 2006.
Mary Brown is currently serving as a Capella core faculty member teaching undergraduate courses in information assurance and security. She is responsible for teaching as well as development of information security curriculum and for ensuring that the curriculum provides a complete education that covers the range of skills needed by today’s information security professionals.
