Capella’s information security curriculum meets the NSA Committee on National Security Systems standards 4011, 4013, 4014.

This center provides access to resources, tools, and the latest information regarding information assurance as a way to enhance understanding in this field of study.

The NSA’s Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Review Committee has validated that Capella’s information security curriculum meets the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) National Standards 4011, 4013, (and 4014 coming). Learn what this means to a Capella learner.

Dark Clouds Ahead?

Robert Lemos of CIO.com addresses the benefits that the cloud provides to organizations in terms of not having to invest in basic IT infrastructure.  However, he also identifies some important pitfalls that need to be avoided.  One pitfall includes the fact that data held by a provider may well be under less stringent discovery rules than data held within the organization.  This presents some interesting considerations particularly for those who are collecting and storing regulated information.  What are some of the mitigation strategies that you would recommend to those opting to hand over their data to a 3rd party vendor?
