
What will your office look like if employees cannot retire?
According to a recent poll by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), nearly 70 percent of HR professionals polled, say employees plan to delay retirement. Fascinating statistics! The Bureau of Labor Statistics has compiled some data about the aging workforce that is interesting, most notably that the groups aged 65 – 74 and 75+ are expected to grow by 83% and 84% respectively! The graying of the workforce, most definitely. This information can be found at http://www.bls.gov/spotlight/2008/older_workers/ and is included in Job Search Strategies for the Mature Worker, a free webinar offered by Capella University’s Career Center.
